A COAT & BLANKET DRIVE BENEFIT AT RIVERSIDE HOMES!
Riverside Homes partners with Beaverton Bakery to incentivize the community to donate coats and blankets to Portland Rescue Mission in November.
HOSTING A COAT & BLANKET DRIVE TO HELP THOSE IN NEED!
After the success of their food drive last holiday season, Riverside Homes is proud to host a coat and blanket drive to benefit Portland Rescue Mission, running throughout the entire month of November.
Riverside Homes cares about their community and takes great pride in the neighborhoods that they build. That’s why this holiday season, they want to extend that reach and help those in need thru a partnership with Portland Rescue Mission.
Portland Rescue Mission creates a safe and healing environment for homeless men, women, and children that’s more than just a shelter and soup kitchen. The Mission offers the means to transition individuals into new lives armed with education, recovery skills, and much more.
The Burnside Men's Shelter, Shepherd's Door Women's and Children's Shelter and the Next Step Transitional Home are all vital to the Portland Rescue Mission's goal to address the root causes of homelessness and actively break its hold on thousands of lives. Their goal is total life recovery for every person that walks thru their doors.
There is a critical need for blankets this season. Please drop off your new or used coat or blanket and help those in need this winter! Drop off barrels are located at any Riverside Homes model home in Vancouver at their Cobblestone, Belmont, or Cottages neighborhoods or in Hillsboro at their Copperleaf, Solano or Hobbs Farm neighborhoods. Everyone that drops off a coat or blanket will receive Beaverton Bakery Bucks.
The Coat & Blanket Drive is supported by 99.5 The Wolf (KWJJ), and was kicked off with an event at Riverside Homes’ Cobblestone neighborhood located in Vancouver, Washington on November 3rd.
